In this 2023-2024 Guide to Roblox Scripting for Advanced Developers, I will go through everything you need to know to continue scripting on Roblox!
My new mission is to have fun teaching everything I know from developing games on Roblox since 2016. We will dive into scripting concepts as basic as printing to as complicated as raycasting. For every episode of this series, I encourage you to do everything I do to gain experience and let it stick with you so that you can create the games you're passionate about on your own. Enjoy this series and remember: being a competent scripter takes time and effort so don't get discouraged if things get too tricky. Although I don't ever plan on using subscriptions (seems too greedy), I would like to know how to use HTTP service as I'm trying to make a discord bot that can quickly and remotely ban a roblox player. I can build the bot using BotGhost and the Ban system on roblox is even easier, the problem I have is connecting the two. I'd love to see an explanation by you on how I can do it

Funny thing: I already know how to send messages from roblox to discord, but not the other way around.

Anyone who has followed the series up to this point, do you think you could make a combat game? Like have you learned enough to the point where you could make a game with a 5 hit punch system, blocking, abilities, quest system, etc. And what's something that you don't think you could do if you can do any of those things)? Taking a game like Hero World for example, is something like a spin for quirk system or a level system or a raid system out of the league of this tutorial? Because i'm currently following the series but i want to know if i could make a game like that if I follow this tutorial series.
