Yamaha HH65 hi-hat controller for Electronic drums

An extremely quiet Hi-hat controller. You can combine this controller with an electronic drum pad such as the PCY90AT (sold separately) to create a compact Hi-Hat capable of handling a variety of Hi-Hat performances, including ones that incorporate full-open, full-closed, and half-open movements and foot splashing.

I have a dtx402k and when i press the hi hat controller pedal it makes a noise, I'm confused because i thought it was only supposed to control the hi hat as shown here.

It's compatible with other drum modules?
Actually i have a Millennium mps-150x, i wanna upgrade to the 450 module, but i can't find a cheap and viable way to have an upgraded hh controller without buying pad, controller and hh stand with the total price of a full kit.
I know Yamaha as Roland have closed system, but maybe it have some compatibility with other brands? Anyone tried?

Anyone knows if this works with Alesis Drum kits?
More specific, DM6, nitro.

Problem: I have the DTX500 module and my hh65 pedal does not make half open sound.
SOLUTION: I called Yamaha Musical and a technical advisor told me how to do a hard reset (different from the user guide). It's something like this:
1. Press the Drumkit and SaveEnter buttons at the same time.
2. Without releasing the buttons press the Power button.
3. Release the buttons and with the arrows or with the wheel
search: 35 Factory Set
4. Press SaveEnter
The module restarts.

Thus the module is purged and looks like new.
Hi Hat half open now works (feature of the HH65 pedal)
