it just might be my opinion but candid baby photos are the best. if you took candid photos of the mom and the baby, it would look 10x cuter and more in the moment because it's natural

Nowadays for some people are pictures so important. I mean memorable pictures doesn't need to be perfect 🙁

As a child educator, knowing the dangers of this with small baby's, I truly believe that this shouldn't be allowed at all. Their necks are so sensitive and a small mishap can kill them or leave them disabled for the rest of their lives. Taking a " cute " picture is not worth it!

My mom told me when I was just 6 days old, she dropped me off of a baby cot face down because she forgot to lock it and I stopped breathing 💀But then my uncle closed my nose with his fingers and I took a deep breath and well came back to life lol😂

But yea this reminded me of it😢

Those babies were of infants with shaken baby syndrome were they not? I do not believe the head dropping from their hand position would cause the same severity in damage. In which case using those images is in really poor taste.

On this kind of pictures babies look so unreal, as a re-born dollies. Why some people don’t want simply to catch a moment when baby is smiling and live.

And that is exactly why I - the intern - refuses to take such pictures.
My boss lets me do all the babyfotostuff and leaves me alone at it saying it's not his responsibility anymore while complaining they sometimes are not what he wanted - well like duh don't let the intern alone maybe.
The funny thing is that he advertises all his photoshootings as made by "professional photographers" on his web page.
Glad I am quitting (he basically laughed my letter away but I'll be gone by the mentioned date anyway. Bet he won't laugh then.)

Tbh I don’t get this like why do a professional photo shoot when you can take beautiful ( and more natural and memorable) pictures at home ? when you have a good chance to eg family reunion, milestone, playing with baby etc etc pictures can be good to take but why do a professional shoot just because it looks nicer? No hate I just don’t understand why parents go through all of the trouble for this

I see many people in the comments saying that candid photos are better with mom and baby. Although I do agree..it's her job to have professional photography with only the babies. She knows what she's doing and wants the baby to be comfortable. Of course babies are not always comfortable but the photographers have to get their job done and they don't want to hurt any newborns. They have to manage with whatever they can as well as look out for the child. So I just hope y'all can understand what I'm saying and maybe cut her some slack..

No 'cute' photo is worth it if it makes a peaceful baby get disturbed by waking up & starts crying- so avoidable. Makes no sense to wake a sleeping baby, any time a baby cried, parents do try their best to soothe & pacify promptly.
