Great video, it would be helpful for the script to be written in the comments for easier note taking. Thank you for your help

3:17 If the first option is mostly used by the video game industry, in what context is the latter option used?

Thank you but I have a question. What if you are just using a portion of copyrighted instrumental and your adding on lyrics (creating a remix to the song). What license would you need?

As a film maker, what would be the royalty I have to pay to use a 3 minute song in a 90 minutes film? How does it work if I use 20 songs like in a 90 minutes film compilation?

If in a contract with a 50/50 split in publishing/writing share where I would get 50% and the producer gets 50%, does this still apply with synch royalties such as I would get 50% and the producer would get 50%?

And if so, who gets the one time payment? It wasn’t listed in the contract btw.

Ok but I can't seem to find out how I'm supposed to get my Sync License for youtube. No matter where I look I can't find a website that is straight forward and helps me understand what am I supposed to be I'm not the creator or the publisher so why is that my only option

but if you're an independent artist, then you're suppose to own your own masters correct?

If I purchase an "Exclusive" beat license to create my music, will I still be able to get synch agreements?

Great video! - But I would be more inclined to share it with friends if composers were referred to as 'she' occasionally; the repeated use of 'he' seems very offputting to female students or aspiring composers.
