Honor View 10 - Face Unlock - Review - Update

Honor V10 new update, in this video i test out the new update on the Honor View 10 including the face unlock. In this video I compare the Honor V10 Face Unlock VS OnePlus 5T VS iPhone X and show you why I prefer it to the competion from OnePlus and Apple. The face unlock is easy to use and surprisingly fast. The phone will detect when it has been picked up, see your face and unlock your phone in about one second. It works at difficult angles and distances as well.

Smart rotate is a feature we have seen on many other phones, so there isn’t too much to go into detail on here. When activated, your phone will hold its orientation to be consistent with your face.

The new intelligent screen on feature will now be able to detect when your eyes are looking at your screen and suspend the screen timeout or dim triggers.

When I first heard about the Honor View 10 (through your channel), I was a little miffed as it appeared to be identical to the Mate 10 (which I'd bought only a few weeks earlier) for a considerably lower price. Further investigation though revealed just how much of a difference there is between the cameras of the two devices, so I'm now absolutely happy with my Mate 10. I haven't bothered activating face-unlock since it was released, as I find the lightning-fast fingerprint scanner far more convenient for my requirements.

I'm still recommending the View 10 to friends whose budgets can't stretch to the Mate 10 - and despite the more-recent availability of the Honor 10, I'm still recommending the View 10, for the same reasons I'd previously recommended the Mate 10 over the Mate 10 Pro (plus another reason - the abominable "must be like Apple" display notch).

Hopefully OnePlus will implement these software enhancements as well to stay competitive. I am finding the stock experience on the 5t refreshingly simple and the best thing since switching from Samsung.

I would have got this phone earlier but the look of it bugs me for some reason. The camera bits on the back could have been done nicer. But the features do tempt me.
Think I will take the plunge on a Honor phone with their next one as if it carries on this way, the likes of Apple and Samsung will have to be worried
