The game is fantastic, except for three things:
1) Only buy it if you have friends or family willing to play, preferably three others. Single player is awful but multiplayer is gold.
2) At some point, you need enough stars to unlock the next level. Of course, there's the three star mechanic where you earn points for dishes and if you fall into a certain point range, you get a certain number of stars (up to three). Then the game becomes a lot more of a grind, even with friends to help and you slow down massively. You see the same levels over and over; sometimes you get really frustrated. Therefore, it's better to play in short bursts.
3) Just like how the game slows down in terms of new content really fast, the difficulty springs up really fast (and at about the same point too). Needless to say, the difficulty arc isn't the best but you only begin to notice that once you're past midway, like 75%.

Despite these gripes, it's still a great game, well worth the price. I don't say that lightly because I buy my own games can only buy one at most per year. But I'm a casual gamer, as are my friends; my family rarely ever plays games so we only do the earlier levels. The appeal has faded for us and I don't see us finishing the game in the near future.

I bought this on my switch, and despite the frame rate drops, and studders, the game is an absolute blast, playing it on the go with 3 of my buds is great and the music is good too, plus I love the characters and the game can put a real challenge if u don't put enough teamwork, overall I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a fun time with friends and wants to try something new, plus for $20 u.s. your not really losing a lot :)

I love this game but I have a PlayStation4. I wish there was matchmaking and online play tho. I rarely have people over.

I am thinking about getting this game for the PS4. Since I enjoy cooking games such as; Cooking Mama, Cooking Craze, Dinner Dash and etc. I saw it at my local GameStop used for $27 something. I might see how much it is new and might just get that instead. I used to play cooking Mama on the Nintendo DS. Now I mostly play cooking games that are free on the App Store.

Can he go into the problems with controller rumble? He only talked about the issue with framerate, and I have yet to have a problem with either.

I really wanted to pick this up, but I'm afraid the frame rate issue will out a damper on things. Maybe I'll opt in for the PC version or other console versions I guess. If they patch it soon maybe I'll get it on the switch.
