Passengers had the fright of their lives when their flight was forced to make an emergency landing. The plane, leaving Brisbane Airport, was in the air for just 40 minutes before passengers were informed the brakes were locked, and the aircraft had to return. Thankfully, it landed safely, but travelers described the experience as "horrifying".

Well what do we expect from..The SPIRIT OF AUSTRALIA..Let me tell you guys this incident is the DIRECT RESULT of drastic cost cutting measures on necessary maintenance to save the company big dollars..A terrible policy that still is in place today unfortunately..I'm an ex company maintenance engineer of 20 plus years who tells it truthfully as it is.. because paying passengers need to know what goes on.

wait for a mentor pilot episode before coming to any conclusions here. better yet to any nervous flyers out there i'd check peter at Mentour pilot out, he breaks down what goes on behind the scenes in scenarios like this demonstrating just how safe the industry is and especially how scenarios like this are a lot less scary than they seem.
