See, as a guy, this really needs to be taught across all schools. It's our bodies and if we normalize learning about sex ed for both genders, we can greatly benefit from easing anxiety and confusion especially for teenagers who are undergoing changes of their bodies.

I just want to thank the mature men who genuinely want to learn about women's bodies. It's nice to see some of you in the comments are being nice and asking questions, unlike the vomit emoji spam.

I really think girls should be educated on the body practically from primary school and on what to do.

I’m a man but it is crazy how both genders aren’t taught how womens bodies work

I had a pretty heavy discharge at 65 and felt perfectly fine. It wasn’t for a long period of time, and I thought it would go away. I went to the Dr. On another matter she said it was time for a Pap test. A week later, my life changed. I had endometrial cancer, with no symptoms whatever, other than this discharge. My life was saved, but it was pure luck. I was late stage three. After chemo, radiation, it has now been over 5 years. So don’t ignore anything unusual about your body, whether you feel fine or not. Hope this saves someone’s life!

It’s perfectly normal to have discharge in your underwear everyday as well, it gets obnoxious but it’s normal, it’s also normal for the discharge to be high in acidity which will basically bleach your underwear so don’t be scared or ashamed about that at all either, it happens to all of us women.💜

This is the first time I was ever educated on vaginal discharge. The one time my sister told me vaginal discharge could mean a yeast infection scared me. I didn't know anything more than that. I thought vaginal discharge was bad overall. Thanks for this video!

This should be taught more too both men and women it’s important we know about these things. I feel mental and physical subjects aren’t brought to light much.

I think it’s just as important for women to know what “normal” or regular discharge looks like, only ever pointing out discharge that is the sign of something wrong is problematic. Normal discharge can be a variety of different colours and odour considered normal depending on where a woman is a in their cycle. Some brown discharge can happen for days after a period, some times when a woman is ovulating the discharge is sticky and like clear jello. Sometimes normal discharge is white and not quite cottage cheese but similar to what this video deemed as discharge indicative of a yeast infection. Odour also changes and we need to become more specific about what fishy smells like, because not every one knows what that means. Is the pungent or mild, is it sour or neutral smelling. These are much more consistent with reality than what all of these YouTube videos show. Also depending on where you’re from and whether or not you smoke, your discharge will be different because of what your body is receiving. Women’s vaginal health is greatly affected by not only sugar but by smoking, antibiotics, wheat/grains, fabric in contact with the vagina and most importantly saliva and fluids from sex and the exchange of sexual fluids. We need to get better a describing the range of things in a woman’s environment that naturally affect vaginal discharge and discuss more how often a woman’s discharge changes throughout their cycle and from their 20’s to their 30’s to their 40’s and so on. Let’s please stop talking about all the indications of diseased discharge it’s toxic, misogynistic and doesn’t at all inform women about what they should expect everyday. As a woman myself I can tell you how many times I have questioned if my normal discharge is in fact normal, because no one talks about it… let’s do better “Healthy Magazine”/YouTube discharge videos, this is not good enough.

So your discharge actually becomes sticky (making a line when you pull it apart) around the time you are fertile in the month (learned this in missionary school as it was a method of birth control used sometimes in very impoverished countries)

Well there is a tip for woman that have strong odor. Yogurt or acidophilus helps keep vagina healthy. It makes huge difference. It balances ph down there.

I was taught growing up that any discharge was bad and it meant you weren't clean so I would over wash my area because I didn't realize until I was in my mid 20s that it's actually completely normal.

Again, I am learning more on YouTube than I ever did in my health classes. The school system should be teaching this 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Finally, someone is talking about it because I'm usually worried! I have white or light yellow discharg, and during my period I guess it is red but IDK. I think I good.

I’m so insecure about discharge and I’m a early teen
Literally thought something was really off with me, plus I don’t get much of these talks
Thank you for putting it out there👏🏾❤️

Why isn’t this taught in general health class? They want to not offend the boys in the class??? Insane how much isn’t shared?

I was 12 the first time I experienced this I remember how I freaked out in the car. To this day I didn't know it was called vaginal discharge. It's crazy how literally no one taught us this not mention it. Not even in our general health class

This is gonna sound weird, but I teach my son about puberty and sex through hormones and what they do. How they work differently in males and females. Random examples: estrogen is key to cognitive ability but it is always taught as a sex hormone. And how genital discharge is different for men and women.

In short, I try to teach him what I know. The world will show him cultural and normative trends, and as his parent, I will give him what I can in wisdom.
