I wonder wether it would be worth seperate combusters for the medium pressure bypass stream. Being somewhat more comprssed than the LP stream and unburnt compared to the core stream it may have greater combustion efficiency.

Bypassing air from the high pressure compressor would be the ultimate.
With no turbine temperature limits greater fuel/air ratios could be used. Combustion would be just as efficient as through the core. Even unburnt, HP bypass would have greater velocity for supercruise.

Is this like the GE yf120 from the yf 23 it basically allows the jet to perform like a turbofan at low speeds and turbo jet at high speeds?
