Let's talk about money and some tips about measuring success. Some people measure their success by how much money they make or how much money they have or the things that they would like. How do you measure your success?

• Money can be whatever you want it to be.
• If you focus on the money, money would not come.
• If you focus on what you love to do and how you contribute and help people, more clients, money and success came.
• People first, then the money, then the things.
• Don't be a slave to something that makes you act some way.

Those basic positive human qualities are essential to be successful as a human being. I don't try to measure others' success based upon how much they make, their homes, or even the cars they drive. Most people are choking on debt. How I measure my success is that I have an executive position that I love and that pays me well. I have a nice middle class home and 2 cars. I have enough saved for retirement to carry my lifestyle through my life expectancy and I spend the rest on toys. I'm debt free and since my current and future needs are covered, I have financial security and from that an inner peace. I've managed to keep my needs modest which allowed me to pay off my mortgage 18 years ahead of time and that provided increased cash flow to fulfill the rest of what I wanted to accomplish. Debt is a necessary evil, money management is an obligation, life is a plan. My degree in Accounting doesn't hurt either!
