Can confirm it is possible to score on the first round of Waterfall. I did with only 3 players today through very careful platform placement and a wall jump, I think if anything had been another space off we wouldn't have been able to make it

This game would be a lot better I think if each character had a unique perk/power-up. Like -

Horse: Jumps higher and can walk on spikes (cause of hooves)
Sheep: Can take 2 hits, the first hit just shaves the sheep naked and halves his points if he wins
Raccoon: Can stick to walls and other vertical surfaces, can climb (cause of claws)
Chicken: Has a triple jump (A jump and 2 wing flaps)

Something like that would make it way more strategic and fun.
