Um...i had incredible toe strength. I could press up on pointe in my technique (soft) shoes. I never used a theraband. I just took a lot of ballet classes. 🙄

Looks like she shows a glimpse of a tool that is either a Pilates toe exercisor or possibly a toe tool used in Gyrotonics, based on the look of the equipment in the background.
I would say that I'm sure strengthening and stretching the toes themselves aids in the strength of the foot overall. And I can see how many (especially young) dancers (with stiff point shoes) just pop up onto their toes and have very little toe foot connection. But I also think, if a damcer progresses to a professional level... whether or not they use a toe tool, that this connection happens in most cases, because of constant training and strengthening.

What's a Thera-Band that seems that you're only strengthening the arch of your foot rather than the toes themselves. I wonder if the Thera-Band is used around just the toes or individually over the big toe and then the four others separately and then combinations of the big toe and just some of the others. From ignorance of dancing but a medical perspective that seems to be likely to help as well as side to side movements because your poor ankle is the only thing stabilizing you over the toe box. And I wonder if silicone inserts in the toe box would be useful if they were molded to the dancer based on how her toes fit most comfortably in the shoe. You would want a few variations so that you could switch them out so the toes would not become weakened and Frozen in one position to have maximum strength but they would be supported in a way that would help them not become incredibly distorted and damaged. It might even be that the toe box could be fashioned so that you are not standing on the tips of your metacarpals with your toes folded essentially but then even be allowed to be extended and fully supported by strong silicone so that they couldn't bend. I podiatrist would have to say whether that was protective of your toes in general but for the individual toes it would be an improvement. I just think that regardless of the beauty it's cruel that the dancer has to sacrifice their feet for a lifetime to achieve the Pinnacle of success.

So we do strengthen our feet different than what she said we do relivays I can’t remember what is called but we have our big toe and pinky toe on the ground we lift our three toes that are not on the ground and that really strengthens our toes then go look up what toe extension is.

as a ballerina this is stupid lol the fact that we arent even paying attention to the fact that she compared us to runners lol but are asking for the better strength building exercise lol we really just want to get better every seccond lol thats all we care about lol idk about u but this sounds like a lady that either wanted to do ballet but failed or something els and is now trying to feel better about her self
