My opinion on the matter is, do what you did but turn the screw counter clockwise 1/4 turn to richen the mixture. This helps keep the engine cool so you aren't melting holes in pistons during long cuts, it also helps with lubrication

With the throttle wide open, You should turn the high screw outward until it blubbers and stutters like it’s running rich and then while the throttle is still wide open, turn it inward until it clears out with smooth peak RPM and then that is the optimal tune.

On the low side, just adjust it to where it idles and transition smoothly to the mid to high RPM range.

You're gonna want give it 30 seconds to 1 minute for warm up before any adjustments. You're going to want to back out that high end out by ⅛th turn at least you dont want it running that lean and high as it will have a short life not if but when it locks up or at the very least burn the rings out! The low end sounded fine as it was idling just fine with no high idle, surging or stall.

hey lets tune a saw with the filter off so when we put it back on the saw cant breathe properly . also thats now how you tune a saw and the end results sounds like its going to explode. more gas is better than to much air.

Most of these saws not saying this one dose have adjuster holes on the side you should atleast leave the air filter on when ya tune it always run it some after and check youre plug color and fine tune from there with your H L screws
