Leviton SmartlockPro Self Test GFCI and the UL 943 Standard Revisions
Показать описание
Leviton comes to Graybar this year with a really important message about the self-test GFCI End of Life Standard.
UL defines GFCI End of Life as when a GFCI device is incapable of providing ground fault protection and passing it's internal test function. UL943 Standard states that when a self test GFCI reaches it's End of Life, it must deny power with the inability to reset, it has to give a visual or audible indication to the end user, or it needs to trip with the resetability but subject to that next test cycle or that repeat tripping.
In the case of GFCI receptacles, GFCIs are required to respond if their SCR or Solenoid fails. These are two mechanisms that are common in a tripping component for both GFCI receptacles and for GFCI circuit breakers. GFCI circuit breakers or receptacles refer to dual function or stand alone. As long as it has that ground fault technology built in, it falls under this Standard.
The dual function device is an industry first. It comes six different colors, is tamper-resistant and it self monitors for both arc and ground faults. The LED indicator light on the front face notifies you if you're experiencing an experiencing an arc or a ground fault, based on the patterns or colors the LED gives off.
