The best and most practically useful video I've seen on this subject, so far. Of particular interest to me, here, is How anhydrous does the ethanol need to be for this to work properly, please? Also, how necessary is the preheating for this reaction. I would like to try on a much larger scale, but that will probably mean using plastic containers (PP, HDPE etc.) Which might not take the heat to well, especially, in the presence of an oil...

Hey, I can’t find how to send a pm. I bought a tincture the desired compound is set in mct oil. Mct oils density is 0.95 g/ cm3. Isopropyl Alcohols is .78 g/ml and water 1.0 g/mI. The compound is alcohol and fat soluble but not water soluble. I was trying to eliminate the oil by dissolving it in 99% alcohol. I’m guessing I would have to heat it up or maybe simply mix.The compound I would like to keep has boiling point is 320 f. Could I simply heat it with the proper temperature and ratio alcohol or just alcohol then evaporate the alcohol leaving me with just the compound or a less oily compound? Or can I simply heat it up in a mixture of alcohol extract it in the alcohol and then freeze the mct oil overnight (obviously alcohol won’t freeze) but when the fat freezes scrape it off? Would the extracted compound be left almost fully in the alcohol not oil? Also would you know proper ratios? I have looked all over the internet so my last chance is this comment lol. You seem to know what your doing.
