Michigan State Police restricting pursuits, will still arrest people

Michigan State Police will integrate a new policy to arrest people trying to run from the law — but MSP Lt. Mike Shaw is assuring the public: people will still be arrested.

The MSP used their heat cameras from their helicopter, which aided my local police department to locate an armed criminal hiding on my property. They posted the entire event on Twitter, which I am glad they have this technology, they were able to walk the local police officers in safely.

So police are saying they do not have know exactly who they are going to arrest when they get to a house because hey technology! That is stupid a car is driven by kids, friends, your kids boyfriend or girlfriend all kinds of people police need to see you speeding to give you a speeding ticket

It’s so easy to say no chasing it’s easy to say all that until you’re the victim of it. For the people saying yay no chases yall are crazy how many officers have killed people or hurt anyone on in a chase not many far from few. I grow up in Michigan and I was a cop there the crime rate is high. Those fancy tools yall speak about take forever to get to a scene and a helicopter takes even longer. If I say I wasn’t driving how will you know? Trust me in in Georgia we chase and the chase policy with all those rules and stuff don’t work. GSP has shown you should chase. You gotta be able to prove without a reasonable doubt that was the person driving to arrested the right person can’t prove it if you don’t know who was driving. Gotta show proof with a shadow of doubt and pure evidence.
