PM Modi Bids Farewell to Old Parliament Building as Proceedings Move to New Building

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered the last speech at the old parliament building in New Delhi. The new parliament building has been designated as "Parliament House of India".

Meanwhile, PM Modi suggested that the old parliament building should be renamed as "Samvidhan Sadan" which translates to "Constitution House".

Lower House proceedings have begun in the new parliament building. It was inaugurated by PM Modi in May 2023.
