Lets not forget, if you suppress it, FN will not warranty your purchase. They recieve your rifle and can see by the wear if it has had a suppressor mounted during use.

No the gun is NOT designed as a DMR. That would be a Scar20. You wanted to press it into that role. The gun is designed to shoot M80 ball (hence the 1:12 twist) specifically, unsuppressed, and be as light as possible. Strictly to give a squad one harder hitting rifle. Not a DMR.
You wanted to maximize the capabilities of a scar17 when FN makes a scar 20 to do what you built your 17 for. Thats why it cost you so much. It's all about the original design parameters. That's why a 20 has a better trigger and a 17 has a normal 2 stage spec trigger.
That's like ppl rebuilding a Honda Civic to be a race car complaining they spent more then if they just bought a Corvette to begin with. Ppl do it, but don't complain when your Honda cost more then a viper.

It’s not fn’s fault for the reciprocating charging handle, top brass in the US Army made that decision. The original design had a non-reciprocating charging handle, but “reliability”.

Absolutely love my NRCH scar 17! I did add the scarburator and the Geisel trigger. It’s one of my most accurate versatile rifles.

You canted your rear receiver screws from using the acr buttstock instead of the uggboot stock. This issue doesn’t happen from suppressing or being over gassed.

Funny because I've had multiple .308 joints that paled in comparison to my Scar 17 . Socom 16, Sig 716 Tread and a few others. I know many will disagree but I do like my Tavor7 more right out the box though.

I use a kns discarder on my scar. Definitely agree the rifle should have came with one especially for the price tag. I actually prefer my ar10 then the scar.

Agree. Had 2 back when these were selling at $1699 sold both when the pricing sky rocketed in the 2016-2017.
