48 hours in STIRLING, SCOTLAND! | Is it worth a visit?

Stirling! I see so many people making this city their second priority right after Edinburgh when visiting Scotland, but why is this, and is it worth your time if you're not quite sure whether you want to dedicate one of your hard earned days off to this bijou Scottish city?
In this video we visit all of Stirling's major attractions, fly around them to give you a fancy bird's eye view, and even do a little tour of Stirling's amazing coffee shops.

Stirling is one of the most important places, in terms of history, in Scotland. Its location, has been far more significant than the likes of Edinburgh and has really played a huge part in what shaped the Scotland we live in. Nice that you also focussed on Snowdon, Valley, Mar, and Holy Rude cemeteries too. One final thing, the Battle of Bannockburn monument is just that, it's not even the location of the battle which happened closer into Stirling and on the carse to the east. There have been a number of digs at the location and, at most, they have found a few items from a couple of hundred years ago...but nothing significant. The Bruce's statue location, close to part of the Roman road from Torwood, was probably a muster point.

The building behind you at the beginning was just restored a few years ago ago.Linlithgow Palace is worth a visit as well and has great views over the loch and lots of lovely old buildings in the town.

Your videos are always good - full of information and humour. And Stirling really is great. My wife was born in Airthrey Castle, Bridge of Allan (it is now part of Stirling University) and our niece did here first degree at Stirling. I enjoyed your guide.

I definitely preferred Stirling castle to Edinburgh castle, but I think you have to be a history nerd to really appreciate what Stirling castle has done! 😄 We ended up walking around with the guide (after the tour) for an hour, and just looking at all the tiny amazing details ❤️
Also; There seemed to be so way fewer people visiting Stirling castle, so not as overcrowded 🤭

Stirling is my favourite place in Scotland. Visit every time I'm over there. Castle is much better than the Edinburgh war museum castle
