How do you open the preferences? It's grayed out, every time I write an HTML opening tag it automatically creates a closing tag.

Please help me i am trying to insert an image using <img src="twitter.jpg"> and it won't insert the image when i open the html doc it is just blank without a picture am i using the wrong code format for an image??

Just installed Sprint40 on Win8.1. Every time I try Ctrl+e on a file, it opens the css file linked to the welcome page example.

This shit is awesome !!! I use Vim Sublime VSCode none of them match Brackets. My 1st impression was that VSCode would be the best cause thats from the Builders of the Visual Studio but I was wrong we don't really see Adobe as a Programming Entity but thats wrong You guys nailed it !!

I enjoy Adobe but Dreamweaver does't really do it for me. I feel like I don't actually practice coding when I use it. This is exactly what might making coding for me more educational. You guys nailed it. Can't wait to try

Hello Brackets Nerds, if I change a folder name in an open project, will the paths in the code be automatically adjusted or is it possible to archive such a feature?

I am facing a hard problem using the Bracket Editor..problem below.

I have tons of files in my home directory (~), and each time I open Brackets, it tries to load and index all the files there. Eventually, after freezing for a minute, it throws the error:

Error Indexing Files: The maximum number of files have been indexed.


How to solve it??
I am a Windows User..please solve this ...

I dont remember on top of my head what version I have of Brackets on my Mac, but does anyone know why  = "Hello World";" wouldn't change my original webtitle? When I do "document.write("blah blah blah");" it will write it on the top left of the web page outside my 'container'

How do you switch on this major feature number 1 for editing css? Does it involve an extention or is it prebuilt. In what Spint then?

The flashing text is alright, i found myself paying more attention to what it actually said. If it were to just displayed the whole paragraph at once, i would have skimmed it. So its a clever strategy. Those who find it hard to read or follow are mostly non-native english speakers it looks like, so they should look at this as good training to improve their english.

With sublime text 2 do you have the same features as brackets do (idea 1 and 2) if so how do you find them because even though i've been using sublime text 2 for about 8 months i still use it as a really basic code editor?
