From what i under stand ARM is a processor used in mobile phones and other hand held electronics meaning the next version of windows could be runned on something the size of a phone so using all those applications with that speed on something that small is actually an advance in technology.

I'm wondering how gaming programs will run on this new version of Windows. Mainly I wonder how well Steam will run on it.

@MrJeeeZum the presentation is about portability and power consumtion and the chips are made for laptop and portable device and and are really not meant for gaming just like you don't see gaming PC running on Atom Processors.

@Mistical101 well vista got out like 5 years after XP is there someone that love it??
i have windows 7 and everything is less clear when you want to adjust stuff, i changed my hours many times and yet it still is 3 hours too early!! they took XP put some vista stuff, changed all paths and told that it was a perfect combination!

Firefox is 10x more useful which means Faster Work
Ad Block Plus = No ads at all on any site including youtube
Tile Tabs = Organizes multiple tabs in one window.
Combined with Windows 7 1/2 screen window feature, I can drag the window to the side, and tile two websites vertically.
Thumbnail Zoom = Enlarge any picture by just hovering, references the actual image the link leads to, as well as video previewing.
Download Them All = Improves DL Speed by a lot

Exactly the question that many microsoft-only guys must've asked, and most of them probably heard it for the first time too. Not at all surprising.

Got to agree, Microsoft is far ahead, using a very small microprocessor from phone to run on Windows 7 without any loss in performance. Apple still like stuck with Intel, it is almost like they are stuck at XP era.

@Sithvdv i think it's a very small microprocessor mainley used in mobile phones or other portable devices...my mobile phone has an ARM cpu...i think that's what they are talking about...but i could be wrong

@Keeper69s those were all examples of mobile computing. not desktop. why the hell would you use an arm chip or even an atom on your desktop? those were dev mock-ups of electronics that can go into tablets and phones. not to mention laptops.
