It is such an honor that we can have Master Kong Nay's presence on this song, and to feature him on this modern track mixed with Khmer cultural instruments. If you don't know about Master Kong Nay, he is a 76 year old Khmer music legend—a master of the Chapey Dong Veng (Khmer cultural string instrument). He is one of a few great masters to have survived the Khmer Rouge era and has created a lot of memorable records for our people to enjoy and for the Cambodian’s youth generation to inherit from him. Much respect and we are thankful to him and his family for helping to create this collaboration.

I don't know if Khmer people realize it or not but their culture is very unique. It has a depth to it. It has kept it's old fashioned values of respect for elders and it's history & social dignity so many countries have lost... since WW2 which...changed us. That's another story.

Also, I find the beats here are Khmer beats. Natural, grounding. Not like any other in the world. Another thing, Khmer people seem to have a lot of magnificent singers & a focused way of pushing their voice with intensity but also smooth deep and rich sounding. It's quite unique. I love it. There is a purity to it. Keep it real. My neighbors apologized for their loud music and I said oh no I love it. Don't turn it down for me, any time day or night. It's got roots. Know your worth. Khmer culture is rich, deep, unique. Put it out there. People will love it. It connects people. It's real, earthy, like a tiger on the prowl.
