Smoother frame rates will mostly be the thing to note about the new update, slightly higher resolution textures are possible but not really as practical as making frame rates smoother or better

Is this a bigger update than that other huge massive crazy updates from literally last week every single update that you tell us about. Like for example that mind blowing massive huge crazy update that added more stability or the update that allowed you to wear a new white first in your avatars that you raved posted about. How that update was a complete game changer. Every single game release is also amazing and will completely blow our minds.

The reason Quest 2s come underclocked is to reduce heat and battery wear. The hardware is the same as it was. This overclocking should kill the battery faster and heat the headset up more.

for me the biggest update was the one with 90hz/120hz support, now we have this v55 one =D

I'm a developer. I'm not sure what this 25% actually means (perhaps I should look into it). I'm sure it will be helpful on some workloads, but it depends on the weak point for those workloads. For example, if you're CPU limited (and if the perf boost doesn't imply the cpu), then this will not mean much. If you are external bandwidth limited (and the perf boost doesn't imply bandwidth), then this will not mean much. So it really depends.

More is generally "better" but it really depends what "more" actually is.

That's my fancy way of saying a whole lotta nothing.
