My Dad's favourite song. He and my Mum divorced over 40 years ago and I don't think he stopped loving her. Four years ago he went into aged care and first introduced me to this when he asked me to play it to him from my phone. He is now 88 and just gone into palliative care, I play this often and think of him.

Update - My Dad passed away August last year, week before Fathers Day. I was blessed and privileged to be with him for his final 6 hours. First time I had to drive past his nursing home I had feelings of sadness, the Freddy Fender version of this song came on the radio. I actually got goosebumps. I think my Dad sent me a message 💙.

When this song first came out in 1975 by Freddy Fender, everybody loved it. But this girl, Beix nailed it in English and Motu, Just her voice sent me to heaven.
