I just visited his stone earlier this year. As someone who looked up to Stephen Hawking for most of my childhood and is now in college pursuing physics and math, it was a beautiful experience. What this also doesn’t tell you is that Hawking is in a corner right around Newton where some of the greatest scientists to ever live are also honored. If they zoomed out just a little you’d see Darwin, Dirac, Kelvin, Faraday, Maxwell, and Green. There are other famous scientists in other parts of the abbey but this one corner has so many.

One of the few men alive today than when he talks you know everything he says is true. I crave the kind of knowledge he has and the things I’m too simple to understand. He opened my mind tospace when he said “ there are more planets out there, than there are grains of sand on every beach on earth”.
