Ja is great. He has a very high ceiling and his potential is scary. But this is so disrespectful to Giannis.

The disrespect to Giannis from these Analyst is disgraceful

Ja is arguably one of the best players in the league, Giannis is indisputably one of the greatest of all-time...at 26. The disrespect is outrageous.

Not only is this insulting, it’s dangerous. It quite literally makes you question whether or not the way the media generates a hype train creates toxicity within the way people look at sports. Both of these guys spent the better part of 7 minutes making reductive qualifiers for why Giannis was so great in the playoffs without even remotely looking at his growth as a player today. We’re acting like Giannis is a finished product at the age of 27 as he’s getting better every year? In Stephen A.‘s case, we’d rather look at the unknown instead of judging who the man is now? Why couldn’t you do that when the question was “Giannis vs KD” right after the Finals? As for Jay, has he even watched Bucks games this season where he has shown the ability to close games? What about his improvements at the free throw line this season? Was any of that taken into account? No. Giannis may actually go down as the most disrespected player of his generation, and no one except for people who actually care about basketball will acknowledge his greatness.

Y’all can’t be serious right?
Giannis is just entering his peak lol and he’s already got 2 MVP’s

“ giannis is giannis “ is just a way he can gloss over the fact that Giannis is a top 25 player of all time

If Giannis had been born in Queens or Inglewood they wouldn't even broach this conversation

Stephen A talks about Giannis like he's an average player 😂, dude Is a finals MVP!

The Giannis disrespect, ja is great but man Giannis has won 2 MVPs, DPOY, Championship, Finals MVP with "No skill" and no "Jumpshot" Giannis hasn't even reached his ceiling and look at his resume 🤷‍♂

Saying “Giannis is Giannis” is like saying “Shaq was Shaq” .. it’s the only way to describe their game 😂 both great

This is so disrespectful. A ridiculous conversation. The hype for Ja is so weird. This is all because of half a season? We’re comparing Ja to Giannis? To Luka? Aw man…

The Giannis and Jokic disrespect is getting out of hand!

Bro here we go the media disrespecting Giannis yet AGAIN. Ja is amazing and a legit mvp candidate this year and I think everyone is loving what we’re seeing from him right now, but come on this argument is ridiculous. Giannis is the reigning defending champ, a back to back MVP, dpoy, and perennial all-star. Ja is becoming a superstar before our eyes but he’s not on the same level as Giannis and the media really needs to stop disrespecting him. You can tell how much they hated when the Bucks won the chip

Sigh, the disrespect that ESPN continues to hurl at Giannis. I said it on a post several days ago when Perk those were having this same discussion. No way would ESPN compare Ja to LeBron, KD or Steph. Ja's a great player and he's on the rise but this question is just ridiculous. Ja's team is winning without him on the court - he has great teammates. Giannis is synonymous with the Bucks, that team won't reach their heights without him. Compare Ja to Lamelo, Booker, Trae but not Giannis. Giannis has not even scratched the surface, he's only 27 and has a monster resume...how many players at 27 can claim this? The guy is developing his mid range shot, perimeter shot, improved drastically at the FT line while being in the MVP and DPOY conversation every week. In fact, he is currently at the top of both ladders! The fact is that fans see Giannis' greatness, the sports media will eventually eat crow in a very embarrassing manner.

Is there a more disrespected 2 time MVP, DPOY, Finals MVP, and finals champion than Giannis in the history of the NBA? This man’s resume is so absurdly great that these questions shouldn’t get to be asked anymore. Giannis the only dude in the league that the secret to stopping him is just put three people on him 🤣😭

How is this even a debate? If Ja is ever half what Giannis is, he would've had an amazing career!

This is genuinely one of the worst takes I've ever seen - SAS' Basketball card needs to be revoked today 😂😂😂

Giannis has been the best player in the world last year and this year and from 2018 he’s consistently been in the top 3 conversation minimum. Give him a more American sounding name and Nationality I doubt this conversation would be had at all. 😂😂

As crazy as this question / comparison is, it's even crazier when you realize it is being brought up just days after Giannis and the Bucks absolutely obliterated the Warriors, giving them their worst halftime deficit in franchise history.
