And let us never forget the four; Jeff Miller (20), Allison Krause (19), Will Schroeder (19) and Sandra Scheuer (20). May 4, 1970.

I saw the young lady screaming over the body of her friend amid the smoke and blood. A few weeks later, CSNY recorded and released one of the most powerful songs ever recorded. In 1970 we were so angry. How could this happen right here in America?

It's been 53 years, what have we learned? As I sit 2 miles from KSU campus I can't understand how we're actually worse off now than we were then.

Jason playing a Neil-style lead and Croz laughing in glee, all while delivering a social message. That's what music should be about...

I'm Canadian and losing Crosby breaks my heart . I remember Kent State on the news in real time . He was more than a folk singer . Seeing Jason Isbell and hearing them embrace this song brought a tear to this old mans eye .Thank you for posting .Respect .

Wow! After 50 years this song continues to bring tears to my eyes. As David says, WHY?

I remember when they were killed, I was discharged that year from the military and the country was upside down with all goings on of war, racism, hatred, and senseless murder.Sad to say it is the same today 53 years later. We need lots of prayers and love to make this world better.

It's amazing how the world doesn't change and how relevant this is today. So grateful for the truth tellers.

The delight is evident on Croz's face as Isbell takes off on the lead.

Thank you for this....I'm a 64 year old man and can't stop crying with every clip I watch

Isbell and his bandmates are so young, yet they obviously "get it." Those guitar solos reflect the pain and fear and frustration expressed in the lyrics with great power. Amen!

Has there Ever been a more powerful line than "what if you knew her/and found her dead on the ground..."

Better to burn out than it is to rust. The king is gone but he’s not forgotten.
Lost one but I pray we have Jason for a million years.

David Crosby is an American Hero as well a National Treasure. Youve got a great music scene there in Rhode Island. I love to see the Young take on these important songs and carry that banner cause things are not getting better. Continue to Fight the Good Fight and do whats right. We can all be heros and together we can make the world change
