Same thing happened on my Howard miller Mondial, the way I fixed it was to take the hands of the dial, then with a pair of plyers pull the mechanism towards you, so that the Mondial cogs come into contact with each other, you need to use some force, there is a video on YouTube showing how to do this.

I have the same clock, same movement slighty different maple cabinet with flutes on the sides.. maybe a 1985 model. Mine was supposidly completely rebuilt about 5 years ago but when striking 1200 oclock it chimes correctly but only counts once. All other numbers are correct. Triple Chimes function as they should. He was supposed to come back and correct it Sound has only gottern better with age as I bought it new in 1985. An heirloom for sure though kids ( grandkids ) aren't as interested in it as I was.. A real shame..

I personally think you place that grandfather clock in the wrong place in your house. I would have place it in that living room in front of those couches so it can be seen not be hidden.

I just bought this clock at a flea market I love it it's beautiful my only problem I'm having with it is the pendulum stops moving and therefore the clock stops keeping time it will work for maybe 5 or 10 minutes and then it stops and I have to move the pendulum manually again for the work again and then it stops again it won't keep running do you have any suggestions on what would be causing this the weights are on the correct chains

How can I clean the mechanism inside the clock. Mine keeps stopping before weights reach the bottom. I cannot find a service center anywhere

I recently moved mine from my mom's, put the weights back on but seems like only the center weight went down after winding it. do I have to manually extend the weight cables and rewind ? it looks to be the same clock in this video
