She sounds just as good live as she does on the recording. There may be better singers out there but she has nothing to be ashamed of at all. Some of the biggest names in music cant sing as well live, as she does.

if she has been around a lot of people while working in nashville that speak a strong country accent she could have probably developed one herself. you do tend to speak similar to those people you hang around with. Plus, you ever hear "country must be countrywide"? just b/c she is not born in the south doesnt mean she is faking a country accent. And she is from Detroit, but i recall reading somewhere else about her living in another country before too or something like that, maybe Tennessee.

she isnt good live.. she pushing and try to hard to take the notes. and it doesnt sounds naturally.. Shes not technically there yet but she isnt bad .

Does Jana Kramer force a country accent on her songs? She doesn't speak with a country accent, so it appears that she is mimicking a country drawl to appeal to country music fans.
