The 1km long irrigation tunnel started in 1974, by SVD Missionairies brings water from the Ikmin river through the mountain, to irrigate the rice terraces of Manabo.
At the end of the tunnel a swimming pool has been constructed and canals flow in two directions to the terraces below.
Visitors to the Picnic Grove love to body surf the fast flowing water down from the tunnels end to the canals.
