A little recap of my experience in The Big Apple!

I called this video “A Nobody Visits New York” because it’s reflective of how the NY trip made me feel, which is not a bad thing at all. My channel is a niche little safe-zone, and is all about sharing stories, things I like, and proving that being real (and honest about one’s flaws and biases) is a great way to grow. The reason why I haven’t lost any love for this is because of how much time I spend conversing and connecting with you guys, I really feel like we’re friends. I’m here because it’s a passion, there really isn’t as much money in being a Youtuber as people seem to think there is, especially if you’re not up in the millions and taking tons of sponsorships. So many people dream of being “somebody” and being perfect, and neither of those things are ever on my radar when I’m making videos and responding to you. The impact that you guys have had on me never gets old, and I’m so incredibly grateful for this community we’ve built and the conversations we have. Lately I’ve been waking up with a spring in my step because I’ve discovered so many new things about myself through this. I feel like there’s actually a place where I belong, I hope this channel can be that place for you too.

I went to New York last June and I fell in love, since I came home I've felt so homesick for it every single day. I haven't been able to put into words why I love it so much but the moment you said about there being so much humanity everywhere, I realised that's the reason. I love the hustle and bustle and how everyone's got a story. Your channel is one of my all time favourites, I love how articulate and thoughtful every single one of your videos are - I aspire for my channel to be as beautiful as yours one day!

It's so easy to make blind judgements on a person's online persona, but it's easier still with time and opportunity to open our eyes and connect with the truth of a person! New York city was by beloved home before I moved away for university. I miss it so much and I'm so glad you loved it!
