When I was in 5 standard I studied divisibility which Goes like..
IN 4679 multiply 2 with First digit 9 which is 18
Now subtract 18 from remaining that is
467-18= 449 again do same thing 44-18=26 and 26 is not divisible with 7 hence 4679 is divisible with 7 😊😊😊😊...

I GUESS IT IS SIMPLE FROM YOUR GIVEN METHOD.
