One political advantage of our ever-increasing war budget is that those public funds can be distributed with minimum public oversight: It continues to persist, beyond all accountability, like a bank that's too big to fail

You did a GREAT job in your interviewing of the guest and reporting on Sanders' speech. Goddamn great! You should be nominated for something. Really.

If it wasn't for the 1%, we could, literally, be living in currently unimaginable society; Wealthy, Healthy, Clean & Educated...nobody homeless, nobody hungry.

Aaron Maté, you are now on my short list of favorite progressives, alongside Jimmy Dore, Tim Black, Lee Camp, and Mike Figueredo. "I think it's a basic description." You bet your ass it is. Keep stating the unpopular obvious. Awesome.

Aaron Mate is mighty irritated in this interview, very amusing.

The U.S. military and defense contractors are obscene.
We will NEVER learn. We need to protest!!!!

I agree with Aaron Mate that "insult" is not the fitting word to use in referrence to genuine criticisms of US foreign policy. In popular usage, "insult" would be considered an action of abuse, or unwarranted rudeness from an offender toward the target of offense. In the case of people decrying the illegal wars the US has engaged in for the past 16 years, it is not appropriate to contend they're offering "insults" to the US war machine. We are all beyond insulted that the wealth earned by citizens here is used to wantonly devastate people in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere, while basic needs of the citizens are ignored here, and the odious US war machine imperils life on the planet with the threat of nuclear war..

4:34 ...I feel there's very little fellowship between Mr Sanders and the Democratic Party ...at least the corporate-friendly core of it.

Why pick on Bernie now? He's doing as much as he can and that never stops

Good on Aaron for putting the screws to his guest. It's absolutely shameful how Bernie won't address the North Korea issue nor take a stand for Palestine. Whenever Bernie calls to smash Capitalism and denounces US imperialism I will call him a Socialist. It's what he doesn't say that makes that label quite inappropriate for him.

Hope Bernie runs again and wins the primary so he can face Trump in the general. I will be the first one to go door to door to promote him.

What happens when the government becomes the oligarchy, why should people that have it give to the ones do not.

If Bernie had not sold out. This would have mattered.
