I've wanted a Fender Japan Super Thinline Deluxe Telecaster for over a decade, but when I finally got my hands on this one I wanted to make it even better - so naturally I ordered a set of @LollarPickups Lollartron Traditional pickups. In this video I do a brief comparison vs the Fildelitron's that come stock in the guitar, then play some more tunes to try to show you why I love these so much. Not a sponsored video.

There's something about the high end sweetness and clarity in the Lollar's. Also, thanks for doing the comparison using chords and riffs! It's a nice change from the shredding and solo's you hear in other gear review/comparison videos.

Wow! Like you said, there wasn’t anything ‘wrong’ with the stock pickups but, even across YouTube the lollartrons have sooo much more fullness, richness whilst retaining clarity. Also some lovely playing, tones and effects there so the setup clearly inspires another angle of playing too which is always great. Also made me realise how the Dr Z (and QC to be fair) setup is also absolutely awesome and imo even better for you than the tone king so for what it’s worth I think this video alone demonstrates the benefit of that change! Hope you’re well mate 😊

Stellar. Raising the bridge pickup made a huge difference. Perfect fit with that guitar. 🎉

Sounds great and fantastic tasteful playing as usual. So many song parts in your demos leave me wanting to hear more.

I've always loved that guitar, and the pickup upgrade really elevates it. 👍

(Didn't realize that you tuned this one to E, though!)

Im so impressed by all the Lollars ive tried (never tried these yet though) Its actually quite rare a brand carriers as much weight as its hype, but Lollar do. Unbeatable as far as im concerned at this point.

Finally caught up with this video. In the comparison at the beginning, you could definitely hear an improvement in my opinion. Great pickups indeed! 🎸🎸

They sound great. Would love to get a pair of these into my Gretsch Electromatic Jet. It happens to the same gold on white, with gold pickguard. I like how they look. Filtertrons are great for rhythmn strumming, riffs. There's that bark and bite that cuts nicely. They're nice and chimey for arpeggios too, and work well with a Vox AC30.

I have an HH blacktop jaguar and I was think of replacing the pickups to lollartrons as the current pickups are a bit muddy and really dark. I’m using the jag mainly for fingerpicking jazzy playing. Do you thing they would be a good fit? Were these a straight drop in fit for the tele?

did you change any of the other electronics or just the pickups?

Maybe I am just imagining it, but the Lollartrons sound fuller with more mids. But there was nothing wrong with the Fidelitrons. I though that they were clear and chimey with more highs. Just depends on the EQ profile that one prefers.

Hello
Can you compare back to back Cabronita and semi-hollow Gretsch?
