We’re the Crawford family and we're walking 2,200 miles from Georgia to Maine on the Appalachian trail with our kids who are 2, 7, 11, 13, 15, and 16 years old. We think it will take us 6 months but we've never done anything like this.

You thought your kids well and they are experienced hikes. People probably don't realise how much preparations you have done and how good is your fitness level. We just saw some of your older videos and you are truly amazing and inspiring. Thank you for being so honest about all the negative aspects of the journey. We are your new followers and fans.

Thank you a million times over for posting videos while on the trail. I am sure that is extremely difficult to do and sometimes may be a burden, but my family and I greatly appreciate it. My son and I watch your latest videos in the morning while I get myself ready for the day. I don't condone allowing young children and babies to be babysat by the TV, but when he watches it with me in the morning, he seems very amused.

Kami, every time your face comes on screen, he starts smiling and sometimes coos at you. You've got a big fan!
Congrats on how far all of you have come! Sending my love!

Love what you and your family are doing! The trail is a good teacher! You can’t get those skills in school! Please don’t let any comments discourage you! It’s your hike, you know what’s best! Happy trails!

What a day you all put in!! I think it’s interesting that you’re seeing the value in the transitions between hotel/town life and life on the trail...what amazing teaching/learning experiences you all are privy to out there!

Bill Bryson ("A Walk in the Woods") got separated from his hiking partner, too, and worried about whether he was ahead or behind. Glad you all found each other without too much time passing.

I'm really enjoying your videos and your kids are a joy to watch!

Great job CRAWFORD FAMILY! Don't push yourself to hard this trip should be fun and take in the sights along the trail. You all need to enjoy this family time together, the kids are always so far up ahead! Great video. Still in my prayers.

Ya’ll are cRAzy for doing this but, it’s pretty dang cool that you are!
I can’t imagine the stuff you’re hauling with the baby and all.
The kids will learn so much and be so competent by the end.

Very wise words about contentment. Enjoying your posts. I am an AT section hiker but I dont take my younger kids but you are inspiring me to take the plunge and bring them along for a section hike. I cant do it this year with kids but I will section hike again this year alone.

That would’ve been scary if the kids had continued on the wrong trail. I’m thankful they’re so smart and stuck together. You guys are doing an awesome job! Do you run into many people on the trail? I figured not everyone wants to be vlogged, so we may not see them. I’m looking forward to your next stop!

I love that the kids have so much energy, Memory and Filia made it to the top and the view was worth it! Thanks for sharing it with us.

It's good to see you have a sunny day, you did a lot of miles.

Another awesome installment. I know that feeling well when you just don't know if your hiking partners are in front or behind. It's definitely amplified when they are family. We didn't go up Siler Bald either. Hikers are pretty lazy if the walking is not on the white blazes. That end of the day feeling, with screaming feet. Ahhh. Can't wait to feel it again. Keep on Hiking, Keep on Fighting.

that breakfast looked amazing!!! I have to say putting in more than 15 miles with the bunch of you is awesome...but from now on i think you two 1/2 should stick with the kids closer so you don't get lost again LOL and that sunset, what a view loved it....thanks for another great vid
