Resistivity, resistors in series and parallel, and how to solve circuit problems. Expand this text to see timestamp links to each section.

This video covers how simplify a complicated circuit to deduce the current and voltage at any place in the circuit, by applying some simple circuit rules.

It's based on the AQA A-level specification, but it's equally suited to IB physics, or any post-16 course.

0:11 Resistivity
1:10 Resistors in series
1:49 Resistors in parallel
2:47 Current and voltage in series circuits
3:31 Current and voltage in parallel circuits
4:40 Techniques for solving circuit problems in series and parallel

Teaching is all about finding that one way to explain something, everyone can understand a concept if explained in the right way for them. I have listened to my own teacher and text book and this way of explaining it was the one that finally did it for me. Thank you
