To those who struggle with the punch flip, don't spam x and circle too fast, just press it from time to time so it's not too fast or too slow. Just focus more on holding square and punching. Just keep practicing till you get the moves right.

Keep in mind that the Punch Flip is better used when an enemy is holding you or holding you up. You can use the punch flip even when the enemy is not holding you, but you will wind up getting yourself knocked out.
