Lemúria é o nome de um suposto continente perdido, localizado no Oceano Índico ou no Oceano Pacífico. A idéia teve origem no século XIX, pela teoria geológica do Catastrofismo, mas desde então tem vindo a ser adotada por escritores do Oculto, assim como pelo povo Tâmil, da Índia. Relatos sobre a Lemúria diferem quanto à maioria dos pormenores. No entanto, todos partilham a crença comum de que o continente existiu na pré-história mas afundou no oceano devido a alterações geológicas.
