Mob Grazing: an experiment in South Ayrshire

As part of our farmer-led Mob Grazing Scotland video series, we’re following Heather and her father, Philip, around their farm in South Ayrshire. In this video Heather and Philip talk us through an experiment with mob grazing.

Heather Close joined her father, Philip, in 2019, to farm 117 hectares of lowland grazing and 15 hectares of woodland. They have a suckler herd of around 40 cows, plus followers - a mixture of pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Original Population Herefords.
