Welcome to our first video in China! In this video, we are going to be taking you on our stressful arrival in China, a country that our government told us not to visit. It's a big day for us, it us Americans first time in China!

We start this vlog back in Manila, Philippines before heading to the airport to catch out Cebu Pacific flight to a mystery city in China. The stress of our first arrival in China came about through their new 144-hour visa program, which we decided to use. This visa had many weird rules and restrictions and with tons of research, we still weren't sure if our route applied. So we took our flight to find out. And to no ones surprise, there were issues. So join us on this late night (morning if you will) journey as we experience our first time in China, a country that the Americans government warns against travel.

I never see any foreigner view China negatively after they have actually been there.

In the summer of 1998, as a financial earthquake devastated Asia's economy, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government won a hard-fought battle to defend the Hong Kong dollar and Hang Seng Index (HSI) against speculative attacks led by American billionaire investor George Soros. George Soros walk away with massive losses.

Backed by Beijing, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) made the controversial decision on August 14 to enter the market, buying up 118 billion HK dollars' (15 billion U.S. dollars) worth of stocks and futures in two breathtaking weeks of trading, and eventually driving out international speculators.

China, have to defend and counter those elites like George Soros (finance speculators) and Rupert Murdoch (Mainstream media giant) these are evil people who are out to destroy peace, destabilize countries economy by using corporate control business and using false democracy narrative, like freedom of speech and human rights and to regime change. These people are the worse violators of all those atrocities of this century.

Guangzhou is one of my favorite cities in China! Very underrated. Hope you enjoyed your stay.

And yes, I agree. You really have to check out China yourself and don't immediately believe what is said in media. Always choose learning over ignorance.

I am surprised that your train tickets to Hong Kong were unable to obtain the 144 hours visa, so I looked up the customs documents in Chinese. I think the possible reason is that the train station where you departed for Hong Kong does not have a qualified departure port.
According to the customs explanation, there are only four railroad ports that can be used as departure points for Guangzhou's 144 hours visa. I looked up their corresponding train stations and found that there are only two train stations in Guangdong Province where you can actually leave the country by train: Guangzhou East Railway Station and Changping Railway Station. The remaining two railway stations are under renovation and out of service now.
Many major cities in China have more than one train station in each city because of their large populations. And there are more than these two train stations in Guangdong province that you can take a train to Hong Kong, so I'm guessing that's why your train ticket to Hong Kong isn't recognized, but instead your train ticket to Macau is recognized. If this logic is correct, your train to Macau would leave from the Guangzhou East Railway Station or the Changping Railway Station.
The 144 hours visa in other places shouldn't be so complicated. But Hong Kong and Macau are so special as they are considered departures but they belong to China and have extra Chinese travelers, so there are ports that additionally serve Chinese people rather than foreigners. Besides, the 144 hours visa is usually obtained at the airport and entry/exit mostly through the airport, you guys chose to leave the country by rail which is also the reason why the visa becomes complicated.
Hope the information I've provided can help and wish you guys a great time in China.

I have visited China six times. It is super convenient even for someone like me who doesn’t speak Chinese. You didn’t do your homework before you went. If you were more prepared, it would be very easy. Next time, get your AliPay and VPN. And as soon as you arrived in China, get a Chinese sim card. Remember you are not in Kansas anymore.

Hong Kong is part of China. Going to HK is not exiting China. The special visa only allows you to stay in one city/region. I hope you will enjoy the time in China.
