I knew nothing about interior design until I stumbled on this channel and became a man obsessed, so now that I know what they're called, I have this dream of one day having my own place so I can do a dark industrial style. Takes a little digging to find ideas since dark decor Pinterest tends to stay more witchy and ethereal, while industrial Pinterest tends to mix in a lot of white walls and pops of color. Both beautiful, but not exactly how I want to do it myself. Perhaps this is to prevent a menacing or dungeon-like feeling, but I think a slight menacing edge with my coziness would be nice :)

I’ve always loved goth/witch/dark vibes as long as I can remember and now in my adult years I finally feel comfortable with myself enough to embrace it. I’ve been watching your videos and looking at other inspiration non stop lately since I’m excited for decorating my new apartment soon. Your videos have helped me to figure out the direction I wanna go, dark and witchy but not too cluttered, modern clean lines, and not completely black everything. (I feel like Victorian gothic works best if you can dedicate the whole room/place to that theme and idk if that would work if I can’t paint the walls, etc. also seems expensive lol)

I like all dark decor. now on to your next dark boho. This has resolved my decision to only focus on dark decor in a small apartment. I ran through a few themes this year, worked through the details of each theme, doing nothing but moving furniture around in the room. I'm fortunate enough to have a large home (8k+ SF) so, I'm doing some rooms dark academia, and a few times are light academia. I'm going to build a writer's & tea shed on my property, and I'm going with the dark English cottage look. Only about 4 days ago I learned the name of the style I designed my house to be, and I've been buying antiques, I have had many rooms painted dark colors from black, dark red, charcoal and brown, and my floors are black and white in different vintage styles, and wood. I didn't realize that I've been attracted to dark academia for decades, and I didn't realize it had a name...
