Rodri is basically the successor to Yaya Toure. Back when Yaya was at City, when he went to the ACON competition in January we always had a dip in form because we didn't have another player who could do his role. Same with Rodri. They aren't exactly the same but the similarity in importance is. Most people will tell you David Silva was City's best player ten years ago and KDB is City's best player now. Those who really know football will tell you Yaya and Rodri really have that mantle. Both players step up when it was needed to win City their first trophy in thirty six years and for their first Champion's League win. Hopefully Rodri's contribution won't be played down as much as Yaya's.

Omfg how tf do u compare what u just said to one of the greatest season by a striker (halland) and one of the greatest season by a creative mildfilder (kdb) who despite of playing cam has defensive impact. Not to say that rodri isnt great or world class, but u just witnessed two of the greatest seasons ever and is giving the credit to a worst version of prime Busquets.
