Star Trek: Generations | RESCORE | Jerry Goldsmith Theme

Seeing as it's the 25th anniversary for ST:GEN, I thought it would be cool to see what it would be like if Jerry Goldsmith had composed the ending theme...

All rights go to Paramount, CBS, whoever else...

I really liked the original Generations score. This is truly the best of both worlds.

I agree that “Generations” seemed empty without Jerry Goldsmith’s TMP/TNG theme. Dennis McCarthy should have found a way to include it in the final film.

The Motion Picture/TNG Theme really was the theme for The Enterprise. It was only used in films where they introduced a new ship. In TMP it was the refitted Enterprise NCC-1701, in TFF it was NCC-1701-A, TNG it was NCC-1701-D, in FC it was NCC-1701-E.

I am kinda disappointed they didn't use the theme, at least in part, for the intro of the Enterprise B in this film.

This would be the only thing that’d be redeeming about the movie if this song was included. I wasn’t exactly thrilled on Generations, especially with Kirk getting offed.

Which movie did you pull this TNG theme from? It sounds different from the others, like the drums are less echoey. But honestly I love that it's a bit different! It makes it sound like this is truly how it was originally scored.
