It was so understandable, in a way. It's never good to keep humiliating someone in front of everyone. Actions have consequences and humiliating someone all the time may bring disastrous ones, as it was the case here. He murdered her because it was too much. I do not approve of murder, either, but sometimes you understand the reason.
