That monologue by Bella while looking at Max, always breaks my heart. It's so pure, sad and romantic.

One of the best ever scenes in cinema history. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT, not least the music. R.I.P. Emma Chambers, you were just fabulous.

This scene was as a result of Richard Curtis's initial thoughts about the film. He said that at the time he attended a regular dinner party with friends and wondered what would happen if one time he arrived with somebody really famous. He imagined Madonna. One, he thought, would just accept it, one would ask him personal questions, one would do the fan thing and the last wouldn't have a clue who she was. The scene was shot at Leavesden.

I really enjoy this scene because it's funny, and also very human. All of the characters react to Anna in a very believable way. Max is my favorite! He meets Anna - regains his composure very quickly - even offers her wine, then ... continues hosting! Later, he shows complete love for Bella as she tells her story during the brownie competition and deftly redirects the group to Will, lightening the mood while taking nothing away from Bella. Well done, Max!

This scene is so beautifully acted by Julia Roberts. Anna Scott is the most rich and successful actress, but she's never known friends or known friendship. Friendship is one of the most valuable things in life.

I love the film, esp.the scene of rivalry for the brownie. It's a treasure to have friends who accept you for who you are.

If there's any honesty on the Internet, that Anna Scott's hairstyle is the most beautiful I have ever seen. I'm completely enchanted by it.

There are so many things that I love about this scene, apart from the amazing acting skills of everyone, that the fact that we can learn to laugh about sad things that happens to us is so wise and beautifully portrayed here and also the empathy towards famous people who we always assumed that they have they lives solved, but actually they go trough a lot as well.
