It's not a comeback. It's a strategy 👏

Dude's internal dialogue was something like:
"Alright, now we'll just uh... increase power by 6% every 5 seconds."

Don't call it a comeback.

He ran a good pace while everyone else went out too fast. Very common in a big 800 field when people want good positioning.

Tradeoff was that he had to run around them all while passing, but maintained his target pacing and won.

Great job. Smart running.

A prime example on pacing yourself. At the start, all the other guys were sprinting hoping for first place. This guy was calm, paced himself, and therefore saved his enery for the final sprint of the race. Kudos to this kid.

Right here. When people say out generation is soft, I acknowledge some kids are weak, but men like t&f athletes are the ones who will thrive in life. Love you boys, stay hard 💪

In cross country i always found it better to start slower and speed up as I went. Most people will do the opposite and it allows you to just run past them easily by mile 1 or so

It looked like he just wanted to get over with the race like a side quest

I did 800m in 1m55s when i was 13. Haven't really done timed athletics since. Just a lot of sports. In my early 20s I cycled 100km per day, with exceptions, but mostly. And lifted around 10 tonnes per day at my part-time while studying as a construction engineer.

Quando eu fiz atletismo, eu corri 400 metros em 1 minuto. Para o pouco tempo de treino que eu tinha, coisa de 4 mês, pra mim foi um bom resultado.
