I'm not sure if anyone else reacted to this film in the same way, but as a sex addict/porn addict, this is the film I come back to whenever I need to feel like I'm not alone. I know it sounds weird, but it comforts me to know that I'm not the only one who deals with these urges on a daily basis. It's a private anguish that I deal with in my own way.

What Carey Mulligan said here about how they used to have a closeness or that she used to make her brother laugh or playful fighting between them, but that at the point in their story in which we enter, it's not working anymore.
This insight was good for me to know, just now made me want to watch it a 3rd time, after seeing this interview.

One of the few movies that made me teared up. I watched to movie to see some porn scenes skipping between scenes. Halfway through stopped and went back and saw the entire movie without skipping. Thankgod no one saw me after the movie. It is the place we come from*.

Shame is one of the most brilliant franchises in the history of cinema, starring Michael Fassbender, where he plays a man who lives madly his life through Sex. Nevertheless, when Sex becomes an addiction in his life, it turns dangerous, on the other hand, Steve (The film director) always knew Michael was the right actor to play the starring role. So I wish he could be back to work with Michael for other projects.
