Near Miss at Road Atlanta Turn 12 - Car Blocks Track - Me in the W2W Racing 983 Cayman GT4 Clubsport

Only a few hours into the WRL Saturday race at Road Atlanta 2022, there was a large incident in T12. On a drying track, the red and white Lexus apparently hit the tires and bounced back onto the racing line just a few seconds before I came into T12 at full pace.

Thankfully I managed to keep the car relatively straight on the extremely wet grass and only damaged the rear bumper cover, tail light, and rear diffuser when my rear left hit the wall. The wheel, tire, and alignment were unaffected and so we were able to continue on at full pace for the rest of the race.

Behind me another car hit the Lexus, which resulted in the two drivers taking a ride in the ambulance. I have been told both drivers exited the car on their own, but don't know more than that.

When the checkered fell at the end of the day, we managed a P6 from a P26 on the grid. Stay tuned for the complete highlights from this race. The wet start was my first time driving on a truly wet track, and it's a really exciting stint to watch.
