@dzdexx7 HI, i just use the balance mode now it both charges and balances at the same time, the charge mode is just for those wanting just to charge and not balance.

@xXxLuke97xXx Hi, no i think it has a ceiling limit of 5000mah on this charger but it may be adjustable, its quite rare in airsoft to use 5000 mah + sized batterys.

Have you checked the accuracy of that charger yet? Ive heard of them being off, I know mine is off but I think mines not genuine. Althought the box and manual looked just like that. Charger reads 4.20 4.20 4.20, multimeter reads 4.13 4.16 4.14 and thats after a balance

@tcon97 Hi thats all normal for a nimh charge. Different cell qualitys produce different charge results it sounds like its all going fine, 3amp is a fast charge for a nimh battery if your not in a hurry always consider a slow charge option of 1a or less...

What are the specs on the wall charger you have? I got it but need to get the wall plug now. Need to know what to look for. (V and A)

Oh, well. I bought this charger from eBay (China), and got copy or clone. It is big mistake. When power on, instead "SKYRC, IMAX-B6" I got message "CHARGER, IMAX-B6". My friend have original one, and we compared performance.

One from eBay has many problems, but it still charge somehow.

The main issue is that temperature probe does NOT work (temperature probe is actually LM35 temperature sensor).

Additional issue is with charging NiMH batteries - it does NOT stop charging when batteries begins to reverse polarity (dV/dT). So, NiMh may get pretty hot.

Lead acid batteries, it stop charging only for 6V batteries, but NOT 12V one.

LiPo charging okay, except in balancing mode - I am not sure it balances propely. Sorage mode is even worst: it discharge batteries too much for battery storage.

Bottom line: waste of $20 US. My bad, I should consider to buy original one.

I hope this information will help anyone who have plan to buy this charger: DO NOT buy from eBay, you will probably get wrong one!

in the old day, i race associated b4 FT niMh battery, we charged at 5a, to get maximum output for racing, you say lipo can charge higher then niMh, so how high can you charge a lipo

@Poulpc I wouldnt charge nimh higher than 1a.... The technology works best when slow charged preferable at 0.1 - 0.3a over 10 - 12 hours and most airsofters typically use 2/3af cells which simply cant take fast charging.. Lipo is much more forgiving you can charge from 1 - 3a and some packs even faster. as with all battery packs each has its own charge settings and should be writen on the pack or specificed by the manufacturer.

Very informative! Can i ask you what's the best amps to charge a 7.4v 4200mah 30c lipo on this charger? If i charge it to 3-4 amps will i damage the lipos?

My unit (bought in 12/2014) did not come with Tamiya plug, which I bought separately :(. "Pb" stands for lead (Plumbum in latin), old batteries and car batteries usually are made of this. Video has been very instructing. Thanks for sharing!

I can only see 25C packs on their website. Doesn't it say on any of the stickers, like "Max charge rate 2C" or something of the kind?

how well would you say it charges li-po batteries? my nephew wants to upgrade his rc car to lipo and needs a charger for em, so i want to find him an inexpensive charger that wont light his batteries on fire.
