Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty's Biggest Changes

Phantom Liberty is the latest expansion to Cyberpunk 2077, bringing a spy-thriller to the series. Jake and Jean-Luc had a chance to spend 1 1/2 hours with Phantom Liberty and these are their thoughts.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty sees the president of the USA's orbital shuttle shot down into Night City. V gets tangled up in this, and you'll find yourself attempting to save her as you discover a story of espionage and political intrigue. While Phantom Liberty includes a new area to explore, new quests, tech, and gear - it also has updates to the police system, a more for Keanu Reeves, and additions to cybernetics. The update is a huge update, and feels like it will bring new life to Cyberpunk and revives its DNA.

When the guys talked about the overhaul CDPR did to the police system, they forgot to mention that the cops can chase you on their own bikes and cars, some cars that you can drive now have build-in weapons, added vehicle combat and so much more

This makes me so happy. This game is def one of the best worlds to be immersed in of all time. The lore is so deep and interesting and dark and realistic. It deserves this update I can’t wait to play it

i still remember the dev who was streaming the game and was questioned about the police chase system criticisms and he responded with sonic the hedgehog not having a police chasing system.

God I am super excited to get back into Cyberpunk once this releases—despite its issues, I really enjoyed that game when it first released and this looks to be an improvement in almost all areas where it was needed.

As an aside, gotten back into Gamespot in a big way since the new slate of shows launched—I just wanted to say you are all killing it with both the shows and your coverage of SGF. Very cool to see!

Aesthetic cybernetics & a more immersive world with further interactions like eateries and activities is really all I want, give us minigames and fun contextual, recreational animations! I had high expectations on release and over the course of it's lifetime, I dropped to just wanting a cyberpunk world I could walk around and embrace.

I'm really liking the things that I've heard from the media present in the invite-only hands on event so far. Despite all its issues, I really loved the base game especially the stories inside it and I've gotten so immersed on it. To hear that it's even been improve makes me so happy.
